Nov 5th 2008 Update: This article introducing the Kindle eBook Reader actually won an award for journalism. Rather interesting. I don’t recall it well enough to make a call on its journalistic credibility. However, it did seem well written.

Steven Levy has the cover article for Newsweek – interesting lead into the main story i.e. Amazon’s Jeff Bezos already built a better bookstore. Now he believes he can improve upon one of humankind’s most divine creations: the book itself.

The Amazon Kindle is available to order, although it is temproarily sold out – it sold out a few days after Oprah’s recommendation in 5.5 hrs
