Ok so i understand that when you buy a kindle what every credit card you buy it from theres where the money comes out from when you download books. What if someone buys you the kindle? Can you just get a amazon or borders gift card and put it under your amazon account?

So my first Kindle crapped out two weeks ago, and the replacement seems to be unable to turn on after many hours of charging…..so my question is, is this just a fluke or does this Kindle thing not deliver what it promises?
Cause I like books just fine, but the Kindle was kind of fun, but toy or trouble?

Well, MTurks can answer the questions. There is a standard reply that is allowed that requests the user contact customer service. The Turker should get paid unless the user junks it. Unfortunately they probably will not get a great vote. As for Amazon letting people know that the NowNow answers are not coming from people sitting in a corporate office somewhere, not going to happen. It is better that you think there are a bunch of brainiacs sitting around an office answering these. I do have to say the Turks do give some very good and detailed answers to these questions. They do deserve a lot of credit.

Yeah, I did that, and then realized I couldn’t. I can see amazon’s point though, having the nownow staff forward all kindle queries would result in a de facto situation where people would keep asking cs questions on Kindle. It’s annoying, but it’s better to wean us off of it in one fell swoop.

Nownow is an excellent service akin to the old. I asked for an alcohol/fruit related antioxidant study from a year ago and was floored by how quickly they found it.

FYI, amazon customer support was amazingly fast, though I used traditional online channels (i really liked the, we’ll call you, yes, right now feature they have)
