[Guys - thanks for the feedback. We're still in Progress - in Alpha now
]. OK – so I want to create a list of the top 100 or so blogs and set up a way to be able to access these easily on the Kindle Browser without having to repeatedly search for them, etc. In addition to having the blog link, I also am adding (wherever possible) a Preview link which lets you preview the RSS feed for the website. Note that this is a html+xml hybrid page from Bloglines that MIGHT (or might not) work on the Kindle’s browser. I’ve also categorized the links and added a bunch of links to take the total to 90 (it was 61 in the previous iteration).
The link is http://www.imagekarma.com/Top100Blogs.htm (Currently NOT working and awaiting feedback). If you happen to also want a list of Blog Feeds for access on your PC (can’t access on Kindle Browser), that’s available at http://www.imagekarma.com/Top100BlogFeeds.htm (note that this is a completely different list that I will not be updating).
If you own a Kindle, I’d like your help in trying out the page’s new version (alpha; in progress), and then letting me know
-
Does it work alright?
-
What other Blogs would you like added to this?
-
Would you prefer if Blogs under a topic have their own page (in addition to this big single page)?
-
Any thoughts/feedback on how it looks in the Kindle’s browser?
-
Does the Kindle Exerimental Browser read the xml feeds ok?It doesn’t – in either mode. That’s why I’m trying with the Bloglines Preview.
thanks – hopefully with your help i can create a comprehensive list of the 100-200 top blogs + perhaps even Topic Specific Pages i.e. Top 15 News Blogs and so forth..
Past Stuff: I appreciate the help – I’m doing a few things
-
Changing all the links to general web links to the blogs. Hopefully I can come up with a page you can access from your browser and then access the blogs and websites that are most helpful to you – Please feel free to add what ever websites you’d want in there in comments and I’ll put them in. -
Also since I appreciate your help, for the first 2 people to comment and ask, I’ll set up a Kindle Browser friendly page of whatever your Favourite Links are i.e. create a homepage of links for you (provided it’s a reasonable number i.e. < 50 links). You will have to test it since I can’t (i’m in London) – however I’ll make changes (to a reasonable extent) until you have something you like.
[Update: It seems that the Experimental Browser doesn't let you access xml or RSS feeds - add a comment if you can access them - i'm going to replace some of the xml feeds by the blogs themselves and will update when that's done and then look for your feedback again - thx]

No, when I try to access the feeds from my Kindle I get the “can’t download this kind of file” message.
I get the same “can’t download this kind of file” message.
I get the same error. I tried 6-7 links in different groups in both basic and advanced modes.
