I hear that the Feedjournal will be working to get its Reader customized for the Kindle. A work around for the subscription blog thing would be to simply be able to update the Kindle via a hardwired or wifi internet connection that doesn't rely on Amazons system?

Part of this probably has to do with how much Amazon has to pay Sprint for every chunk of data that comes across the Kindle's Whispernet system. Since Kindle owners don't have to pay a monthly connection/service fee on this, Amazon is forced to meter it instead. I'm sure Sprint isn't doing this out of the kindness of their heart, so an all-you-can-eat subscription model would probably be a tough sell for everyone but customers like you and I!
