March 5th update: R.W. Ridley has a new contest at his blog, and there’s also a round-up of Free Kindle 2 Contests.
Dec 16th update: Mr. Ridley will release a live drawing video on YouTube on January 1st, and the contest’s gone so well that he’s going to have another kindle up for grabs in early 2009.
R. W. Ridley has a kindle contest at his blog, plus he’s giving away a pdf of ‘The Takers’ for free, and he’s kindly agreed to let me post preliminary details on this blog.

- To receive updates on the contest send an email to kindlecontest@rwridley.com with the subject line: “Loop me in on the Kindle Contest”. [Edit: You an also just check this post for updated details]
- It isn’t necessary to buy a copy of ‘The Takers’ to win the Kindle. It would be nice, but it’s not necessary. I will be providing a free download of the PDF on my blog next week.
- The contest will consist of one question from the book. That’s right, one measly question. Answer it correctly, and I will throw your name in a hat and include you in a drawing.
- You can increase your chances of winning by spreading the word. The more people who send me an email saying ‘So & so told me about the Kindle contest’. The more times your name goes in the drawing (provided you supply the correct answer.)
- I will accept your answer in an email only with the subject line: ‘I know the Oz answer’. The email address is kindlecontest@rwridley.com
- I will video tape the drawing and post it in on my Youtube channel.
I’m going to start posting all the free kindle contests I find under the ‘Free Book’s category of the blog. Also, I’ll update this once I have final details from Mr Ridley.
