The delays are still at 11-13 weeks so this might be your last chance to get it in time for christmas. It seems like refurbished kindles have been out of stock forever – however it’s just a few days. Says something about demand that even refurbished kindles sell out in a couple hours. Meanwhile booksonboard.com has a Press Release out saying that the eReaders they sell (cybook, both models of the sony reader) are selling like hot cakes.
There have been something like a dozen articles talking about how badly Amazon messed up with demand, and its getting bit repetitive. My personal concern is more with the 11-13 week delays and them not changing.

If you order today, you might get your kindle on 26th Feb, or as late as 12th March. Quite ridiculous.
Also my refurbished kindle is in the US and hopefully one of my friends comes up in the next few weeks to Canada and brings it up so I can ring in the new year with a kindle
