It’s not even a day since the Kindle 2 release, and there is already a deluge of companies announcing Kindle 2 cases. Here’s a round-up of official and unofficial cases for Kindle 2 -
- Cole Haan Patent Cover Case – There are some good looking Kindle 2 Cases in leather from Cole Haan. I can vouch for the shoes as being top quality, and hopefully the cases are the same. The first is the Red Patent Cover Case (also available in Black). At $120 it’s pretty expensive.

- Cole Haan Smooth Leather Case – Really like the smooth leather. For $100.

- M-Edge Leather Jacket for Kindle 2 – M-Edge makes some of the most popular Kindle Cases. Here is a picture of the M-Edge Leather Jacket with the eIlluminator reading light.

- M-Edge Leather Jacket Platform for the Kindle 2 – This I really like since you can use it as a hands free stand. M-Edge will also be releasing a version of their very popular eIlluminator Reading Light for the Kindle 2.

- WaterField Designs have 4 different types of carrying cases and slips for the Kindle 2. These are really well designed and at very reasonable prices ($27 to $49). Do check them out.

- Official Kindle 2 Leather Cover – This seems to be a decent option at a relatively low price ($29).
I’ll update this when more Kindle 2 Cases are available. If you currently own a Kindle and have cases for it already, do wait for your Kindle 2 before deciding on making a new purchase.

I have an M-Edge case for Kindle 1 and it is fabulous. Very well made. I am giving my Kindle 1 to my husband and have ordered a Kindle 2. I will definitely be buying an M-Edge case for that. I am lovign the new pink too.
I agree that the $120 Cole Haan case is expensive.
