Kindle Weekly Planner – Free!

Here’s a pretty cool Weekly Planner for Kindle 2/Kindle (only tested on Kindle 2) covering 2009 and 2010.

2009 2010 Kindle Weekly Planner

Here’s a Video showing it in action –

Kindle 2 Weekly Planner

This movie requires Adobe Flash for playback.

.

Please note this is a SIMPLE html based document. Its not a program and will not have reminders or let you write visibly on your Kindle or do anything complex. This is a very simple hack – and just html.

Will add this to the Kindle Store for $1 or so and add a  link once it’s up.

Also, do note that reminders, notes etc. only show up with the tiny numbers indicating a note exists. Things you write on this planner will only be visible when your cursor is on the Note Marker.

Within the limitations of the Kindle/Kindle 2 and the type of functionality they support this is pretty useful.

Here are the main features of the Kindle Weekly Planner -

  1. Week at a Glance – Easy weekly view.
  2. Works at every Font size – every week takes up exactly one page at any size. Font Sizes 4 and 6 are recommended.
  3. Enter Daily and Weekly Aims, Important dates and Appointments.
  4. Enter appointments at various times during the day – 7am, 9am, 11am, 1pm, 3pm, 5pm, 7pm and 9 pm. This is a make-shift design. However, it lets you do appointments and also keep every day’s planner to just a row. Let me know if other times work better or if you have better ideas.
  5. Shortcuts Page accessible from each page -  Every Page links to the Shortcuts page which links to every month.
  6. In addition, there is a convenient Table of Contents that links to the page for every single week.
  7. Covers every week in 2009 and 2010. That’s 90+ weeks, each with its own page.
  8. Bolded font throughout to make it easier to read. Also works perfectly on Size 6 so easy on your eyes.
  9. Designed to minimize the amount of navigation needed. This could still use some work.

There’s already a decent daily planner at the Kindle Store, and 365 pages (one per day) seemed too much so I went with a simpler Weekly Planner View.

Please do leave comments and suggestions. And thanks for trying it out.
