Amazon has released its Amazon App for BlackBerry that includes Amazon Shopping and Amazon Remembers. Its available for all BlackBerry Smart Phones that come with a trackball. You can also type “amazon.com/bb” into your BlackBerry browser to download it.
This is pretty cool – It probably means that we’ll be seeing Kindle for Blackberry soon.
A little about the Amazon Shopping App and Amazon Remembers -
- It lets you shop Amazon.com right from your BlackBerry.
- You can log-in to your account and access your cart, wishlists, and other details.
- Amazon Remembers lets you take a picture of any item and keep a visual shopping list.
- You can also use the picture to bring up similar items available at Amazon.com.
It’s been 5 days since BlackBerry World was opened so the Amazon App release is pretty quick on Amazon’s part. Hopefully Kindle for BlackBerry gets released soon too.

i just want a kindle app for my android phone
there are a lot of cellphone and netbook manufacturers incorporating Android into their devices now. So there’s a chance you might see Kindle for Android in 2009.
i hope so… i doubt id use it all that often, but occasionally i get in a hurry and run out of the house without my kindle, or i forget to charge it and it runs out of juice, so it would be nice to have a backup…
it would be even MORE awesome if they would release a desktop viewer for kindle books…
How do I download the kindle app to my Blackberry Storm II 9550?
Not sure – haven’t done it. The Kindle Apps page at Amazon.com might have information.
Actually it says Storm 9550 is supported. Just go to the Kindle for BlackBerry page and follow the directions. It should work.
