The $489 price for the Kindle DX is great given that the 9.7″ screen is double in area of the 6″ Kindle 2. The Kindle DX cover will however add on $49.99 to your cost. Here’s a picture (it looks rather similar in design to the Kindle 2′s cover) -

The best feature in my opinion are the custom hinges that lock the Kindle DX into place and prevent it from falling out. Its available for pre-order now.
