Free Kindle Romance Novel, 4 for $1.99 each

The Kindle Deals page is promoting three $1.99 kindle romance novels. After a little digging in the romance bestseller lists a free romance book and a few more good deals showed up. Which gives us -

  1. Between the Sheets by Robin Wells for just $1.99 (down from $6.99). This has a perfect 5 star rating and the premise is rather interesting. Note that the $1.99 price is only valid till the end of June.
  2. The Free Kindle Romance book is ‘Seducing Jane Porter’ by Dominique Adair

  3. Too Far Gone by Marliss Melton for $1.99. Its very well reviewed with a 4.5 star rating across 14 customer reviews. Offer only valid till the end of June.
  4. Nora Roberts’ SpellBound for $2.39. Do keep in mind that -

It was a short story in the book “Once Upon a Castle” by Nora Roberts. If the description had mentioned this I wouldn’t have purchased the book again. It is a wonderful story though and good reading. And that it’s just 99 pages or so.

  5. My Wicked Enemy by Carolyn Jewel – also for $1.99 (save $5) and with a 4 star rating.
  6. A Hint of Wicked by Jennifer Haymore. Also $1.99.

The Bestseller charts in the Romance section of the Kindle Store include lots of other free romance novels, and also some cheap books for around $2 each.

Its good to see June start off with so many Kindle Deals and so many free kindle books. Still stand by my prediction that giving away books is becoming the most effective and, in the absence of discoverability (a good recommendation engine), the only way to market on the Kindle Store.

  1. Just wanted to let you know about my new novel, Finding Juliet, which is now available in a Kindle edition for under a buck. If you’re a fan of Shakespeare in Love and Nicholas Sparks-type novels, you might find this to be a fun love story.

Finding Juliet is about a young man and woman who fall in love thanks to his correspondence with Juliet’s Club in Verona, where volunteer “secretaries” of Shakespeare’s Juliet reply to the thousands of letters sent to her every year from around the world.

I’ve posted two chapters in the discussion forum on the book’s Kindle Store page so you can get a sense of whether or not it’s worth the investment. If you check it out, please let me know what you think. After doing seven books with traditional publishers, I love the direct reader interaction from going the Kindle route.
