There are a lot of books hovering around the $1 mark in the Kindle Store. In the absence of a better way of figuring out which ones are gems, here is a list of $1 kindle books that have made the bestseller lists in the Sci-Fi section of the Kindle Store -
-
MetaGame by Sam Lindstrom. Its in the Top 100 Bestsellers under Science Fiction.
- The Colorado Sequence by Stacey Cochran. A Sci-Fi/Mystery bestseller. Just 80 cents. 4 stars across 4 reviews.
- The Grove by John Rector - Its very well reviewed and in the bestsellers in both Horror and Mystery/Suspense. This isn’t exact Sci-Fi – However leaving it in as its well reviewed.
- The Second Ship by Richard Philips. 4.5 stars across 14 reviews.
- Flatland: A Romance of Many Dimensions. Very well reviewed. Do note that the formatting is supposedly not good on the Kindle – however, at $1.60 that’s not much of a concern.
- Double Life (The Adventures of Josiah Jones) by Dawson Vosburg. No reviews – however there must be something good for it to be amongst the bestsellers.
The Kindle Store doesn’t really do much to highlight the most promising writers – However, you can buy one of these books and help the authors.
Amazon should consider adding some more lists to the Kindle Store i.e.
- Best Selling Self-Published Authors.
- Fastest Selling Self-Published Authors.
- Best Reviewed Authors.
- Most Positive Reviews compared to Purchases.
And also find other means of bubbling up the best writers and giving them a chance to succeed with Kindle owners.
