Midnight Friday 27th Nov – the first 10,000 customers for Square Trade Warranty get 40% off with Coupon Code: HOLIDAYMAIL.
You can get 20% off (after first 10,000) until January 10th, 2010.
Your other option is to get a Kindle Warranty at the Kindle Store – 2-year extended warranty for the Kindle 2.
Check out my kindle warranty guide post for a comparison between SquareTrade and the official kindle store warranty from ServiceNet. The SquareTrade warranty is rather cheap ($35 for new Kindle 2) and the addition of the coupon makes it very compelling.

- It starts at 5pm PDT today.
- It ends at midnight PDT Aug 25th, 2009.
- The coupon changes to a 20% off coupon after that and lasts till August 30th, 2009.
- Square Trade are offering the warranty.
- Warranty must be bought within 90 days of buying the Kindle. For accident coverage its 30 days.
- It must be bought within 30 days for items bought from eBay.

It covers mechanical and electrical failures that occur during normal use. They cover Kindle purchases from Amazon or EBay. They cover used Kindles too. They are NOT the official insurers Amazon recommends – that would be ServiceNet. You can buy accidental coverage for accidents – however, you must buy this within 30 days of buying the Kindle (regardless of when it arrives).
Please do read the details yourself. Do consider the pros and cons of this versus the warranty available at the official Kindle Store. It seems the Twitter does have some utility after all.
