There’s also a free pdf novella available (strangely at amazon’s servers) – Kresley Cole’s The Warlord Wants Forever. It seems to be supernatural romance.

News of the Death of Free Books in the Kindle Store is an exaggeration.
There has been some talk recently about Amazon phasing out free books, and a mention of there being no free books added to the Kindle Store in September, which is inaccurate.
Firstly, there have been 8 free books in the Kindle Store this month.
