Did I miss something here? I want a reader that I can read in full sunshine. I want a reader that will last for 14 hours or so. I have seen some netbooks that work in the sun but that last 3 hours, if that. Using a netbook so far is like driving an electric car, goes 35 miles and then you stop to plug it in. I know technology is moving toward lower power devices, but even if they get up to 8 hours, the still have to be charged daily instead of weekly like the Kindle or Sony. I think they have a way to go before they surpass what the readers have now. My laptop is not an acceptable e-reader, which is why I have a Kindle or two.
