- A Kiss of Shadows by Laurell K. Hamilton. 4 stars across 325 customer reviews.
- Trading in Danger by Elizabeth Moon. 3.5 stars across 51 customer reviews.

- Bound for the Holidays by MacKenzie MacKade. A 4 star rated romance novel.
- Unleashing the Power of Rubberbands by Nancy Ortberg - Which, contrary to the title, is about leadership. 4.5 stars across 6 customer reviews.
- By Reason of Insanity by Randy Singer. A perfect 5 stars across 27 customer reviews.
- Also, from yesterday – The Hunters by Jason Pinter is free in the Kindle Store.
- Also, from Oct 30th (only 1 of 4 books is still free) – Spinning Forward by Terri Dulong.
Why all the Free Kindle Books?
7 Free Books today, 1 on November 1st, and 5 on October 30th.
- Perhaps Amazon wants to make the Kindle more appealing than the Nook.
- It might just be a new way to get more readers to the store during Christmas Season.
- Have publishers started paying Amazon to sell free books?
- Perhaps publishers have found a loophole – which would explain why the free book offers only lasted a few days.
- Perhaps the model is working really well (first book in a series free) and Publishers are queuing up.
Whatever it is, it’s led to 8 free books in the first 2 days of November and 13 free books in the last 4 days. Life is Good.
