short update on three kindle book deals

First, we have the Kindle Daily Deal –

Brown’s Requiem by James Ellroy. Price: $1.99. Genre: Mystery & Thriller, Literature. Rated 4 stars on 19 reviews. This is the author of L.A. Confidential and The Black Dahlia.

Before he began to remap the geography of the crime novel and venture out into the darkest noir night of them all with L.A. Confidential, The Black Dahlia, White Jazz, and American Tabloid, James Ellroy started his career with this powerful but basically straightforward book about Los Angeles private eye Fritz Brown.

Next, we have the first book in the Alex Charles Series (which the Publishers is threatening to remove from its $1 price) –

Alex Charles: The Evening Oak (Alex Charles #1) by Kim Reynolds. Price: $1. Genre: Orphans and Uncles, Time Travel, Love and Secrets, End of the Civil War in 1865. Rated 4.5 stars on 10 reviews.

Alex Charles isn’t afraid of her future. It’s her past that has been holding her back; her parents were unexpectedly killed while she was still in high school. Alone in the world, she turns to her friendships to keep her life fulfilled. And then one day, the unimaginable happens. An unknown uncle, Joe Graham, comes into her life and takes her into a world of mystery and discovery; a place where the past can be rewritten.

Here’s a snippet from a review –

I love books about time travel. Even more, I love books about time travel that are written extremely well. Alex Charles: The Evening Oak is most definitely one of those books! I loved learning about the oh, so serious Alex, her fun-loving uncle, and the secret family business that up until recently, Alex had no idea even existed.

Finally, we have the sophomore novel from Chris Culver. His first novel is rated 4.5 stars on 290 reviews.

Just Run by Chris Culver. Price: $1. Genre: Suspense, Thriller. Rated 5 stars on 2 reviews. 289 kb in size.

And that’s it for this post.
