Update: Up to 75% off more than 900 Kindle Books. That’s the real Cyber Monday Kindle Book Deals from Amazon.

For your Kindle and Kindle Fire, Amazon has special Cyber Monday Kindle Book Deals.

There are 269 cyber monday kindle book deals in all – deals at $1, $2, $3, and $4. The prices are valid till December 3rd, 2011. Here are some of the best:

Note: Amazon also has a general Cyber Monday Deals Week with deals on things like TVs and clothes.

Ancestor: A Novel by Scott Sigler. Price: $1. Genre: Horror, Thriller, Technothriller, Fun Read. Rated 4.5 stars on 187 reviews. This is a very fun read with streaks of romance.

There was news about how scientists managed to make a variant of the bird flu virus that can spread amongst humans quickly (apparently, this helps in case the mutation happens naturally – unless of course we manage to leak the super deadly lab-made variant much before anyone has been able to use it to create an antidote). Humans now have so many ways of destroying themselves (DNA cloning, Artificial Intelligence, virus research, nuclear weapons) it seems almost inevitable someone’s going to mess up somewhere. My money’s on DNA cloning and Artificial Intelligence.

Inspired: How to Create Products Customers Love by Marty Cagan. Price: $3.99. Genre: Product Development. Rated 5 stars on 94 reviews. 241 pages.

The Mastery of Love (A Practical Guide to the Art of Relationship) (A Toltec Wisdom Book) by Don Miguel Ruiz. Price: $3.99. Genre: Happiness, Deep, Deeper, Deepest. This book is so deep it needs two taglines. Rated 4.5 stars on 167 reviews. 198 kb in size.

Seriously, one of this author’s other books was very deep. So deep – almost drowned in it. And that was just flashcards (daily lessons) – for an actual book would need to get some scuba gear out.

Love is a Dog from Hell by Charles Bukowski. Price: $1. Genre: Poetry. Rated 4.5 stars on 42 reviews. Mr. Bukowski probably woke up on the wrong side of the wrong person’s bed a few too many times. 312 pages.

On The Air: The Encyclopedia of Old Time Radio by John Dunning. Price: $1.99. Genre: Radio Encyclopedia, Radio Reference, The Good Old Days. Rated 5 stars on 38 reviews. It’s a massive 850 pages and has glowing reviews.

My experience of radio is limited to being a young kid listening to Casey Kasem’s Top 40 and desperately trying to record my favorite songs using an old JVC cassette recorder. I wonder how many more times music technology is going to change completely in my lifetime.

There’s definitely been something lost in the transition from Casey Kasem to the likes of Ryan Seacrest. And we don’t just mean lots of tubes of Mr. Slick hair gel.

Killing Cockroaches by Tony Morgan. Price: $1.99. Genre: Leadership, Church Advice for Pastors and Church Leaders. Rated 4.5 stars on 56 reviews. 259 pages.

Breathers: A Zombie’s Lament by S. G. Browne. Price: $1. Genre: Black Comedy, A Reinvention of Zombies. Rated 4 stars on 112 reviews. Starred Review from Publishers Weekly. 322 pages.

A Gentle Rain by Deborah Smith and Debra Dixon. Price: $1. Genre: An Adopted Daughter, Looking for her Real Parents, Finding Romance. Rated 4 stars on 74 reviews. 385 pages.

Next Victim by Michael Prescott. Price: $2.99. Genre: Thriller, Mystery. Rated 4.5 stars on 13 reviews. 390 pages.

Wishin’ and Hopin’ by Wally Lamb. Price: $1.99. Genre: Comic, Growing up in the 1960s. Reviewers says it’s ‘A Real Holiday Treat for Boomers’. Rated 4 stars on 91 reviews. 291 pages.

HUNTER: A Thriller (A Dylan Hunter Thriller) by Robert Bidinotto. Price: $1.99. Genre: Romantic Suspense, Spy Story & Tale of Intrigue. Rated 5 stars on 87 reviews. 488 pages. This also shows up as the 3rd highest rated Thriller in the Kindle Store. 82 5-star reviews.

The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success by Deepak Chopra. Price: $3.99. Genre: Spirituality. Rated 4.5 stars on 233 reviews. 178 pages. Not really a spiritual and meditating and very wise sort of person so have no idea whether this is good or not.

My Story, Illustrated Edition by Marilyn Monroe and Ben Hecht. Price: $2.99. Genre: Norma Jean, Marilyn Monroe. Rated 4.5 stars on 23 reviews. 208 pages.

Daisy Chain: A Novel by Mary E. DeMuth. Price: $2.99. Genre: A Lost Friend, A Vulnerable Sister and Mother, A Boy Against Big Trouble, Faith. Such a beautiful cover. Rated 4.5 stars on 134 reviews. 369 pages.

Just an observation: Books about faith and self-help always seem to put extra effort into their covers. Meanwhile, business writers seem to think they are supposed to use powerpoint slideshows and clips as covers.

[Amazon’s matching of B&N’s Cheap Find] Social Engineering: The Art of Human Hacking by Christopher Hadnagy. Price: $4.50. Genre: Influence, Social engineering. Rated 4.5 stars on 47 reviews.

Everyone wants respectability now – He’s not a manipulator or influencer or charlatan. No Sir, he is a Social Engineer.

  1. Do you know how to scuba dive? Wouldn’t want you to drown and this blog to end 🙂 Thanks, as always, for the laughs.

Have you notice that the B&N cheap finds are always more expensive than Amazon’s deals?

    1. Yes, it’s strange. B&N always discounts to $2.99 or so. Kindle Daily Deals are $1 or $2.

No, can’t scuba dive. Would have to go down in one of those steel cages that keeps the shark from Jaws out.

  2. OMG – recording music on a cassette recorder from live radio – brings back memories – Thanks for all of your hard work giving us updates on free books and great deals and valuable insights on e-readers and related products!

  3. I moved to a newer mobile home last year. I was amazed to see that it had speakers throughout the home connected to a radio with an 8-track tape player!
