$139 for a refurbished Kindle Fire is an amazing deal. Despite being allergic to ‘refrubished’ items, I’m tempted to get one just to see whether this is actually refurbished or just Amazon cleaning stock before ‘the real Kindle Fire that isn’t cloned from the Playbook’ gets released.
I’m not exactly sure what ‘refurbished’ means. Perhaps it means one or more of Furby, Furniture, Vin Diesel, and Thor had a hand in making the device.
Limited Quantities. Translates as – If we priced it too low we’ll shut it off.
Might be a reaction to Nook Tablet going to $199. Which means $199 brand new Kindle Fire might hit $179 soon.
Ends in 15 hours. Which is like forever – unless you read this email when 14:59 has already passed. Then it’s not very long at all.
There’s a one year warranty.
The Limit of 5 per Customers is truly amusing. Sure must be a lot of ‘refurbished’ kindles to be able to run this deal. Suspicious whether they really are refubished or just Amazon clearing stock.
Refurbished Kindle Fire – Does it mean the REAL Kindle Fire is around the corner
There was a lot of talk last year that Amazon wanted to release a Kindle Fire desperately and prevent B&N and Apple from eating up the holiday market. So desperately that it grafted some stem cells from the Playbook (and by ‘some cells’ we mean 100% of the body) on to its Kindle Fire OS. Given that the Kindle Fire OS itself is derived from Android we are getting into the levels of cloning that would make Dolly the Sheep and Dr. Frankenstein ecstatic.
There might very well be truth to the rumors.
Part 2 of the Rumors was the presence of a fantastical and conflagrationary device that forces you into buying EVERYTHING from Amazon.com. It’s truly conflagrationary (not to be confused with resolutionary or Che Guevara-ary). It was so cool it made you think of Fried Ice Cream at midnight in Chinatown (if you don’t know, then you really should go down to ChinaTown or Tokyo or find a frying pan and some thick skinned ice cream).
Anyways, this fried ice cream magical Tablet was so fantastical that it would have done even better than the 5 million Kindle Fires sold. Amazon is now left wondering – What if? What if our convolutionary tablet made of unicorn horns and rhino skin (and even Gorilla Glass – although Gorillas don’t grow grass naturally – it’s really very sad to see the poor Gorillas suffer at the hands of Cornballing) had come out in 2011.
So, this year, finally, Amazon’s conflagrationary and Gorrilla-ary Tablet is ready to rumble. Kindle Fire, sorry – ‘refurbished’ Kindle Fire (wink) – is down to $139 to clear the way for the most fantastical and Narnian Tablet ever made.
